This holiday season, Sr. Deeter and the Spanish Club adopted an Hispanic family from El Centro de la Mujer (Center for Women), a non-profit organization located in north Toledo to promote various services and classes to Toledo's Hispanic community. The Spanish Club spent over $150 from it's own budget to make the family's Christmas a little brighter and more cheerful. Sr. Deeter and Spanish Club students went shopping and gift-wrapped the presents. The family received their gifts from Santa at the Center's holiday party. The 2011 Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School’s visitation pep rally started by asking one simple question: Are you all ready for this?
Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School will be giving the incoming freshmen iPads as part of the new STEMM Initiative. STEMM, which represents Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine, is a growing national trend for enhanced educational opportunities in these fields. Next year, we are creating a state-of-the-art STEMM Corridor. This will house all five areas of STEMM.
Recent studies have shown that job creation in STEMM related fields are growing three times faster than other jobs across the country. By providing our students a world-class college preparatory education, we can prepare them for success both in college and in their future vocations.
