School Gets Stained Glass Windows From Holy Rosary Parish

stainedglasswindows

Although Holy Rosary Catholic Church on the east side of Toledo is no longer functioning as a parish, a piece of the parish will continue to live on as the stained glass windows from the church building have been donated to Cardinal Stritch High School and Kateri Catholic Academy from the Diocese of Toledo.

If you are interested in this project, please contact Fr. Eric Schild, President of CSHS and KCA. 419-693-0465 | This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

This is such a powerful way to make sure that these beautiful stained glass windows continue to have a presence in our diocese in a school building that includes students from each of the parishes in the Blessed Kateri Deanery.

With support from parishioners and friends, these stained glass windows will be used in the school’s chapel and will also be displayed around the school as works of art to inspire the students. The windows throughout the school will be framed in a hand-crafted wooden box and have lights placed in the back to illumine the various mysteries of the rosary contained in the stained glass.

In order to complete this project, we are inviting individuals or families to consider sponsoring a window in memory or in honor of a loved one. This will be acknowledged on a plaque near the window. Each window will cost $3,000. This amount includes refurbishing the window, building the wooden box that will house the window, and then the installation of the window in the school. We are hoping that various families with connections to Holy Rosary or others who appreciate these works of art may be interested in this great way of preserving these local treasures.
