Solo and Ensemble Contest
On Saturday, February 11, 2012, 8 students traveled to Bowling Green High School through the inclement weather to OMEA Sol
o and Ensemble Contest. Solo and Ensemble Contest allows students to receive comments on their performance as well as a rating from 1-5 if desired on a song chosen from a set list. Those songs are organized in classes, A-C with A being the hardest.
Senior Jordan Sapara performed a vocal solo (C) and a snare drum solo (A) receiving a 1 (the best rating) on both. The following students also received and outstanding or 1 rating on their vocal solos: Senior, Krista Cox (C), Junior, Jacob Lynn (A), and Freshman, Katelyn Kromenacker (C). Receiving a 2 on their vocal solo were Senior, LeAna Inman (C), Freshman, Kortnee Neuenschwander (C) and Freshman, Vicotria Pinciotti. Receiving a 3 was Sophomore, Kristen Elchert.
