We believe that the gift of time and talent is one of the greatest gifts you can offer your school. As it is stated in our mission statement - "Our mission is to invite young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ in an atmosphere where stewardship will be a way of life that will pervade very aspect of school culture.
A significant component of our stewardship efforts for students is called Stewards of Stritch. Students are required to complete 60 hours of community service by the first day of school their senior year. These hours are a requirement for graduation.
A Stewards of Stritch hour is work done for a community organization, and/or church. Hours may also be obtained by doing work that is approved by the students’ Theology teacher. This is work that is done without pay and under supervision. Students can find service opportunities on his/her own as well.
S.O.S. hours will be recorded by using a downloadable form. On this form, students will be required to record the number of hours worked, and the agency where the work was done, as well as obtain a supervisor’s signature and write a brief reflection about the work that was done.
